GirlGo! A place where women are never alone

GirlGo! is a website that provides users with reviews of privately owned companies and businesses through the lenses of young women. Think Yelp, but for women. Imagine you’re a college girl going to the bar with friends and you have an uncomfortable experience with a creepy bartender who won’t seem to leave you alone all night. The next morning you can go onto your GirlGo app and leave a review about your experience. This way any GirlGo user can make a cautious and informed decision about whether or not they want to attend that bar. There’s even aspects as broad as which train line is safest to take at night if you’re a woman alone… or which subway lines to avoid when navigating a new city. Safety will obviously be an integral part of the Girl on the Go service, but there’s even more than just that. On GirlGo! You can filter search results to be “cute brunch spots for young moms in Philadelphia” or “cute clothing store for teens near me.” On every review profile on GirlGo the stars of reviews will be stratified so that users can see a specific site's safety rating, but also specific ratings like service, food, and even things as broad as atmosphere and overall vibe ratings. We're obviously here to help our girls feel safe and protected, but we also want to help them have fun! The possibilities are endless for GirlGo! and I truly believe we can build a resource that allows women to connect and share their experiences unlike anything currently on the market.
